PVC GREEN HOUSE STRUCTURE 

Anyone-with simple tools can build a simple greenhouse cheaply & easily.

To build a PVC greenhouse, you'll need: 

PVC pipes, few connectors  and clamps and UV protected Green house film for covering 

Here follows the diagram and step by step guidance

Required tools :

 Measuring tape / Hammer / Few screws and a Screw driver / Scissors / Axe / U clamp

MODEL 2

Green house made by PVC pipes are  the most easy and economical idea for

cultivating plants and crops in a controlled environment throughout year.

Basic information 

Please check with your local authorities and make it sure that  no law / building code in

your area restricts the construction of Green house by PVC pipes  

PVC pipes and fittings are locally available and the standard length of pipe is

20 feet which is equal to 6.1 meters

To reduce transportation cost, its advisable to buy PVC pipes locally.

In this sample structure, we use PVC pipe with 1 inch diameter 

Measurement

Fold the PVC pipe so that it will curve upward like a half circle with a diameter of 4.3 meters. 

This diameter of 4.3 meters will be the length of the base width of our greenhouse.

This PVC pipe half circle / arc will be supported by the frame of the door as shown below.

Determine where the door frame will support the PVC pipe arc.
As we know, the maximum height is at the center point
Select a ground site which is 14 feet in width and a length of at least 20 feet.
Maximum length is determined by your actual requirement
The site selected should be free from shading of buildings and trees as we need proper
sunlight in the green house. Cover the selected area with some plastic
sheets for few weeks so that all weeds are removed and make sure
that there is proper drainage for excess water  

Assuming that you are building the structure on the plain land, make four holes with 2 feet depth for the

two door frames that is to be fixed on both sides and this door frames at both ends will be the support

for the entire green house. If you are building your Green house on the terrace, its advisable to fix

these door frames in concrete 

Size of door frame  

Cut 4 Pcs of  2.5 Inch PVC Pipe of 2.71 meters  length

and two pieces of 2.5 inch PVC pipe with a length of 0.92 meters 

This is  to be used as the  frame of door s on both ends 

Make sure that each pole for the door frame is 2.1 meters above the surface 

(The total length of poles is 2.71 meters each - Now 0.70 meters under the soil ) 

Roofing

The roofing PVC pipes are 1.5” thick and 20 feet long 

The spacing between one roofing arc pipe and the next is 3.5 feet.
The length of our greenhouse is 20 feet. and that is the standard size of PVC pipes 
This means we need 7 pieces of 1.5” thick PVC each 20 feet long

We require the following

7 Pieces of 1.5 inch thick PVC - each 20 feet long 
2 more pieces of PVC pipe with 1.5 thick , 20 feet long for two horizontal lengths
2 Pieces of 1.5 inch thick pipe each 20 feet long for the cross sections
7 Pieces of 1.5 inch thick PVC pipes each 3.5 feet long for the  top section ( E and F)
One bottle of good PVC glue / Its advisable to use UPVC pipes
